well its getting there. all i have left is some work on the ground. some texture, a few more highlights here and there. and fun lived in feeling things: puddles, holes, cracks, woodgrain...

I'm Learnin to "PAINT BG's THE VENTURE WAY!!!!!!" this is my first step kind of an underpainting based on some old Johnny Quest bg's. next week Liz is going to teach me the fine art of the Venture Dry media brushes:D

It's been a little while. I have been storyboarding my ass off, but I was watching the live action Tick series and found out he had a comic book series. I MUST HAVE IT. Until then here's some fan art. It's about halfway done:D

sticker and tag idea

I literally did this in 20 seconds, like a minute 45 ago. august 25th 2009 14:48:52. its a sick idea for a sticker that i want to put on the protective case for my iPhone, and maybe tag around.

OMG

i have working like a fiend, but finally I am ready to post new pics. my friend Thom Foolery did a painting a while back. It has always made me smile, so I talked to him and he let me vectorize it. Soon when i'm done were going to put it on threadless.

My friend asked me to do a cover for his album and a logo for his band. Heres what i got. Its in reverse order of where I started. The first one I made stencils and spray painted it on to black construction paper. The rest are the early font tests and the original.

I was doing this to practice drawing in the venture brothers style. I added a thicker line and upward shadow to make it more interesting on its own.

I am practicing comic book inking techniques.
